Never Reject God

In Prov. 22:6, Bible says, "Train your child he way he will grow; when he grows up, he will not depart from it".
What "way"? The way can be divided into two: the good and the bad way. The good way comprises of knowing God, pursuing knowledge and good moral background. Every parent is commanded to give their children these three legacies. But not all parents bestow these precious. legacies. to their children. On the other hand not all children who got these legacies remain in the path.

Many parents give their children everything but God. This is a fundamental parenting error. But such children can surrender themselves to God when they become independent of their parents and even go as far as winning their parents for Christ.
What matters the most therefore is that God should never be absent in a child's life. Therefore whether your parents introduce you to God or you do so by yourself, STAY glued to Him for the rest of your life.
Why? Without Him in your life, your life will be meaningless and purposeless. No matter how clever you may be, you will eventually make mistakes that will lead you to frustrations like Solomon experienced and expressed in the whole book of Ecclesiastes.
Solomon retraced his steps back to God and his life was restored. It was this restoration that brought meaning and purposefulness back to his life. You may not be as lucky. (to be contd.)

After the Chain is Broken

On attaining the age of maturity, a child is expected to become independent. At this stage that child can decide for himself whether to continue to to toe the paths, e.g religious, academic and moral that the parents have trained them to follow. The child may as well decide to chat an entirely new path for himself.
parents or chart a new course for himself.

The choice is his. Some children have decided to toe opposite paths thereby frustrating all the expectations of his parents, by abandoning their religious, academics and moral upbringing. In so doing they brought shame instead of fame to their families.
I urge you, if you must change anything at all, from the parental legacies inherited by you, never abandon God. Never abandon the pursuit of knowledge and rather than abandon the good moral background handed over to you by your parents BUILD upon instead. The negative consequences of not heeding this advice are many. are going to examine these in more details in subsequent chapters.

Always remember, you have Only One Life to live. Don't toy with it!

Plan Your Life

Always remember you have only one life to live. You can do whatever you like with it.
The planning for your life starts with your parents. And the first and greatest plans for children are for parents to 1. train their children the way they will go in life Prov. 22.6. It,is for the trained child not to depart from the way when he grows up
The first of this is to lead the children to God like Hannah did to Samuel. This way their hearts are arrested by the holy spirit early in life. It becomes easy for them to listen to their parents' further guides. 2. Put them on the path of KNOWLEDGE Hos. 4:6. This is achieved through academic / religious education
 3. Give them sound moral teachings and home training so as to moderate their conduct and enable them develop good character. Put in these lines, then the child begins to be in good shape. He now begins to follow the paths. Now it is his turn to key into his parents visions and plan for his future. Who is this child? It is you my reader! Your parents have set you on a proper path by leading you to God, sending you to school, giving you good moral training, etc. They have planned for a better tomorrow for you. It is up to you now to continue planning for yourself. You have one life to live.(to be cont'd)

Stay with God

Popular names like Babatunde (dead ather has returned) Yetunde, Iyabo(dead mother has retuned), Kumapayi (this child must live this time around), and so on all originate from Yorubas' belief in reincarnation. The Biblical stand is that man has only one life to live so once dead, he cannot return to this world except. during rapture. This is a spiritual and logical truth that man ought to accept. Every other view is a deviation from God's established order.

Flowing from this is the fact that since we have only one life to live, then we must manage it well so we will not waste the opportunity.

Ho do we do so? The starting point is for us to get ourselves glued to God, our creator. He is always there to order our footsteps correctly. So that we will not fail and fall.

Dear reader, arguing whether God exists or not is a distraction and a device used by Satan to accomplish his three main goals in our lives i.e. To kill, steal and destroy us. Will you succumb to him? Remember, you have one life to live. Stay glued to God then your life may enjoy peace, positive achievements and for you to finally make heaven. Remember the Bible says: fear of the Lord is the beginning. Of wisdom but fools despise it. Prov. 1:7. Don't be counted among them. God bless you. Need more info?
